The Lexus of Blackburn Golf Invitational 2025 – A Day of Competition, Camaraderie, and Charity
The Lexus of Blackburn Golf Invitational was held at the number one course in the country, Royal Melbourne. With the course in immaculate condition and the greens firm and fast, the day was set for an unforgettable tournament. The weather couldn’t have been better—clear blue skies, a gentle breeze, and perfect temperatures made for ideal playing conditions, allowing guests to fully enjoy the stunning course and competitive spirit of the event.

Celebrating Our Champions
The competition was fierce, with all teams putting on an impressive display of skill and sportsmanship:
- Third Place: William Zhao, Benjamin Ng, Scott Wilson & Karen Ding – a strong performance at five under par with five holes to go, but a late bogey saw them finish with a nett 57.5.
- Runners-Up: Mark Allen, Kathryn Salmon, George Greenberg & Matt Sutherland – a round featuring eight birdies, an eagle, and two bogeys, with a clutch birdie on the last hole pushing them to a nett 56.62.
- Winners: David Lee (19), Greg Steward (27), Le Yu (12) & Matthew Anellis (18) – a hot start with birdies on three of their first four holes, overcoming a setback with consecutive bogeys, only to bounce back with six more birdies to secure victory!

Supporting the Otis Foundation – A Record-Breaking Effort
Beyond the competition, the true highlight of the day was the generosity of our players and supporters. The on-course charity event and post-golf auctions raised an incredible $17,000 for the Otis Foundation – a record-breaking amount that will provide retreat accommodation for individuals and families affected by breast cancer.

Beginner Golf Winners
Golf isn’t just about competition; it’s also about learning and enjoying the game. Twelve guests participated in the beginner golf lessons with Rachel, the local golf professional. Congratulations to our winners:

Exclusive Lexus Experiences
To top off a fantastic day, we had a special prize draw for an exclusive Lexus experience. Congratulations to Alex R, who won the opportunity to attend LANDMARK by Lexus for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup, as well as a chance to play The Royal Melbourne Golf Club.
