2022 Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour

Lexus of Blackburn were pleased to invite Encore Members to the dealership to celebrate the 2022 Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour.

Since the tour first began in 2003, the famous trophy has travelled more than 760,000 kilometers and visited more than 560 destinations, providing communities with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the magic of the Lexus Melbourne Cup and help raise funds for local initiatives.

Lexus of Blackburn guests enjoyed an evening of canapes, flowing beverages, entertainment, and an exclusive photo opportunity with the Lexus Melbourne Cup.

Hosted by our Lexus of Blackburn ambassador Sarah Jones, Victoria Racing Club representative Joe McGrath joined us on stage to provide some insights into the making of a legacy before conducting a Q&A with one of Australia’s best racing callers, Bryan Martin OAM. Bryan captivated the audience by sharing some stories and experiences from his 36 years in the business after calling 29 cups.

Wines for the evening were supplied by Ponting Wines, and we welcomed Lexus of Blackburn ambassador Ricky Ponting to the stage to speak about how Ponting Wines came to fruition. Ponting Wines is a collaboration between Ricky Ponting and Ben Riggs, an award-winning Australian winemaker known for uncompromising, high-quality wines.

The evening’s charity raffle and auction raised over $8,000 for The Otis Foundation – an organisation dedicated to providing a national network of retreat accommodation properties for anyone facing the challenges of breast cancer. Thank you to all who contributed.
