The IS F is sculpted for speed, with a body that's been fine-tuned through extensive wind tunnel testing and high speed trials on some of the world's fastest and most famous racetracks.

L finesse on steroids

The IS F's aggressive interpretation of L finesse generates impressive aerodynamics to deliver a low 0.30 drag coefficient and a quiet cabin. For stability at high speeds, the underbody includes a fibreglass reinforced engine undercover providing additional stability at high speeds. Massive air intakes help cool the V8 engine, while side air gills quickly extract heat and cool the engine and brakes.

19 inch forged alloy wheels

Formula OneTM supplier BBS, in conjunction with Lexus, engineered the IS F's ten spoke forged alloy wheels, which help draw air across the brakes to aid cooling. Light and incredibly strong, the front wheels are eight inches wide while the rear are nine inches wide.

Bridgestone Potenza tyres

Lexus engineers worked with Bridgestone to develop tyres with handling and grip you'd expect from a luxury sports vehicle, without trading off the control and ride quality you expect from Lexus. The resulting low profile tyres add to the IS F's impressive cornering, as well as its excellent noise and vibration dampening.

Intelligent front and rear lighting

The IS F includes Daytime Running Lights which make the vehicle more visible to other drivers and pedestrians. The powerful High-Intensity Discharge headlamps give you greater night vision. The rear tail lights incorporate LED lamps that illuminate faster than conventional tail lamps, so when you apply the brakes, drivers behind you are alerted sooner.

Optional moonroof for open air cruising

On sunnier days, open the power operated moonroof for extra ventilation and open air cruising.

Six piston Brembo brakes

At Fuji Speedway, the IS F's high performance Brembo brakes were thoroughly put through their paces at the end of the world's longest modern Formula OneTM straight. Massive cross-drilled 360mm front discs combine with six piston aluminium callipers for stable braking even from ultra-high speeds. The 345mm rear discs are coupled with two piston callipers. In addition, pillar type fins aid cooling, for reduced brake fade during heavy braking.

Smart Key Card with push button start

The IS F comes with a hands-free Smart Key Card, which allows you to unlock and lock doors and start the engine at the touch of a button - without removing the card from your pocket or bag. When the proximity sensor detects the presence of your uniquely coded Smart Key Card, the door unlocks as soon as you touch the handle.

Self-dimming mirrors

The exterior mirrors on the IS F feature a sleek, aerodynamic look which reduces wind noise. These Electro-Chromatic mirrors automatically dim when they detect excessive light, such as the glare of headlights from following vehicles. Glare reduction can also help reduce driver fatigue.
